Term 3 No. 3
Kia ora e te whānau
Once again thank you to the Dolphin Academy for running such an amazing programme for our tamariki. I hope many of you managed to get along to the pool this week to see it in action. Please see attached the information for their holiday programme.
It was great to be part of the Spooner Shield which was held at Bledisloe School. As a smaller school it can be difficult to participate in all the codes but we managed to do this and we were very proud of our tamariki’s attitude and effort on the day.
Last Friday, 23 August 2024, our school headed to Park Island for our School Cross Country. Congratulations goes to everyone for finishing their race and not giving up. For those competing in the Interschools event for Years 3 - 6, this will be held on Tuesday, 10th September 2024 at Park Island.
On Monday, 16th September 2024 the Ahuriri Kāhui Ako Kapa Haka Festival will be held at the Pettigrew Green Arena. There will be one matinee and one evening performance. Tickets will be available closer to the date. Practices for this event are increasing as we get nearer to the date and our first noho is being held this weekend.
Last week we had the official opening of our new garden area attached to the sandpit. Our oldest student, Xzander Peters and our youngest student Bilal Ramadhan cut the ribbon to celebrate and enable everyone to use this new area.
Before I sign off, please take 5 minutes to read through our new look newsletter and click on the news items below to view more photos of your tamariki.
