School Values

Kia ora e te whānau

Our Water Safety Programme for the whole school continues for the next two weeks. Staff have been amazed how quickly the children’s skills have developed so far. I am planning on going to watch their lessons over the next couple of weeks.

The following Friday, 23 August 2024, the school will be heading to Park Island for our School Cross Country. Tamariki will need to wear their house colours, as they will be able to earn points for their House for effort and having a good attitude. The Interschools event for Years 3-6 that qualify will be held on Tuesday, 10th September 2024, also at Park Island.

On Monday, 16th September 2024 the Ahuriri Kāhui Ako Kapa Haka Festival will be held at the Pettigrew Arena. There will be one matinee and one evening performance. Tickets will be available closer to the date.

We are continuing to make improvements to our outside environment. Thank you to Toa Landscapes for developing some of our gardens already. We are looking forward to using these spaces.

Lastly, have you ordered your pies? If you can,  please support the Home and School with the Pies Fundraiser. The last day for ordering is Sunday, 1st September 2024.  Approximately 30% of the fundraising will be given to the Home and School to spend on our tamariki.
