On Monday 16th September we had the Kapa Haka Festival. It was a fantastic day and night with wonderful performances.
Please have a look at our school Facebook page to see the videos.
Below is a piece of writing by Jessie-Lee Babbington and her experience at the Kapa Haka Festival.
Yesterday there was the Kapa Haka Festival at the PGA. All of the schools from our Kāhui Ako were there. We also did Kapa Haka at night. Our best performance was at night time because we already did it once in the afternoon. My favourite part about our uniform was our raukura, the feather in our hair. Our roopū moko kauae was the bomb and the kaitātaki looked so good with their patu. Charleigh and Te Aorangi were so good, even the boys too. We all did so well and I can't wait to be back in Kapa Haka next year!
